So I Married the Clap...

Yes, I finally got the Clap to marry me...somehow! Haha!! Nah, he was the sweetest groom on our day: August 28th. He likes to pretend that he's tough but really he's a sweetie. I added our fancy pics to my pic site: www.aimtoothpaste.shutterfly.com. Or click on the link over on the right under 'My Links.'

What more can I say? It was a beautiful day and I'm so very happy. It's my birthday today, and Sammy is the best gift that I could get...

These are my fave pics of the day:

Let's Update You All on Sam...

CLICK ON A PIC TO ENLARGE IT!!

Yes, this is my blog, and Sam does not read it at all. I could say that he stinks like a baboon or that he chews so loud that the force of the suction he creates sucks in all of the breathing air around him.

Ha! Just in case you didn't know, Sam is working as an account manager at a landscaping company in Madison. We do drive to work together, but it drives me nuts, yet saves on gas. He's been super busy all summer, as the home we have bought together is his first home. He is an extreme perfectionist, which means everything he does gets done right the first time, and there is no slacking on getting things done (yes, I like to slack but it's a little hard with Sam around). Soooo, remember pics of the house before we moved in? Here is the pic from the realtor site just to remind you:

And here are pics of the newly done landscaping, mostly done by Sam with a little help from me once in a while...

And yes, we are working on building a paver patio in the back yard. However, because we are doing it by hand, it is taking forever. Here's what our back yard looked like last week, and let me tell you, it's not any different right now:

And not only has this been Sam's spring and summer commitment all year, but he's also worked on re-tiling our laundry room; repainting the whole house, adding trim to some rooms in the house, building storage shelves in our garage as well as our basement. I think that's about it....maybe.

Ok, that should be enough to keep you satisfied for now. Stay tuned for pics of Sammy flying in the air. He's getting super excited that bow hunting season is coming up and he's trying hard to get this patio done by then so he can have some free time to go hunting. I'm not too worried about it. We can easily finish the patio in the spring. It's not going to do us any good during the winter anyway. Hah!

Camping, Muskies and Special "Lures"

Working, running my eBay store, finishing up my Career Development Facilitator Class, getting ready for my last semester of my Master's which means finishing the thesis. It's all a bunch of craziness. Sam has been working laboriously on the landscaping at the house. I'll add those pics next. In the meantime, we went camping this weekend. I'm so tired, I don't have the energy to write this blog! We went up to camp at Star Lake in Northern Wisconsin. Those two camp grounds were full. We finally found some spots on some lake's campground whose name escapes me right now. Ha! Razorback Lake. Did some musky fishing but didn't even get a bite!!!!

Sunday we hooked up with Sam's buddy Josh Ostertag at his cabin on Two Sister's Lake. Took a ride on Josh's pontoon, Sam did some rope diving. I'll add those pics later. Stayed the night at Josh's, then Monday we headed over to another lake whose name escapes me. Is that the right word? Is it who's or whose? ...........

Anyways, we went fishing some more and were able to catch SOME bass at least. Here are our pics...

And look! Notice something on my hand? Ha!! Apparently when I went fishing with Sammy, he gave me something extra for bait!!! He bated my musky rod then handed the pole to me. As I went to cast, he told me to check out my bate first. I grabbed it and noticed that there was a fun lure on there that said: "Musky Killer." He had been gloating all weekend about how he was going to take me to a lake where I could catch my first musky. I laughed at the lure and went to cast. He got my attention again, I turned around and looked at him and he said to me: "Will you marry me Amy?" I was taken aback, but said: "sure?" I thought it was a joke! After seeing the look of confusion on my face, he told me to look at my lure again. I said: "I DID!" Then he actually had to come up and grab the lure and show me that there was a cute engagement ring attached to it. Then I finally got it. Oh, it was a REAL proposal??! I thought he was joking around!!!!! I even grabbed the actual ring the first time I looked at the lure. It was in my hand and I didn't even notice. After I realized what was going on, I thought it was soooo sweet and cute!!! I'm such a dork who never pays attention to my surroundings. Ha! Do you want a close up pic of the ring? Answer the pole up on the top right of this page. Or, you can just click on the pic above and it should show you a close up of the ring.

Awww....so later on we caught some more fish. And here is our fancy pic that we took on the day of our engagement....

And for the record, Sam claims to be the worst guy for romance, but when I hugged him after he proposed, he was shaking. He tried to say that it was because he was excited, but we all know the truth!
