Sorry, took off for a while, was super stressed out about my mom. She's all better now, however. Went just this past Sunday, packed up her house and sent her on her way to Joey's house!!
What have we been doing? Just working, and putting together some new furniture that we purchased. I think we are done purchasing furniture now, maybe just need a computer desk.
I traveled up to Steven's Point, Wisconsin just last week for the Wisconsin School Counselor Association conference. That was a bit uneventful, not to mention a bit stinky. That stanky hotel smelled like it was overloaded with dirty poopy diapers that have never been removed. That was lovely!
Hmmm, what else? Got sick again this weekend. Went to Joey's house and his children's infectious diseases have infected me again. Happens every time, but what can I do? They're so adorable.
And on the family front, yes, my mother got better and is now staying with Joey, but I just found out today that my poor cousin Angella has been diagnosed with two different auto-immune diseases. One is Lupus, which she kind of thought she had, and the other one is one that I can't remember the name of, but basically her immune system is attacking her optic nerves. She is currently almost blind, and can only see you if you are very close to her face. She heartedly told me that she is most likely to lose her vision and then her immune system will then attack her spinal cord and she might eventually become paralized. And I used the word heartily, because she was actually quite cheery when I talked to her. She is a cheery gal, an optimist, and expressed no kind of sadness or grief at all. She just gave me her news non-chalantly, then proceeding to tell me about the jokes she's made with her friends about her possibly dying. Poor Angie. She is my dad's sister Lupe's daughter. She's almost 28, same grade as my brother. I lived with her for a bit of time while my dad, grandma and I were living at Aunt Lupe's house. I've always liked Angie. Let me see if I can find a picture of her...So that's the news on the homefront. Pray for all of my crazy cousins!
