Hello!!
So last weekend, Sam and I were happily visited by the following members of my family: My mom, my eleven-year-old sister Lacey, my dad, my brother Joey, his wife Pa Chia, their three boys, Gabriel, Miguel and Manny, and my cousin Mindi and her two boys Hayden and Brody. What a full house!! Joey and Pa Chia, crazies as they are, decided to sleep at a hotel, but there was plenty of floor room for them a la casa de Sam and Amy!
Am I obsessed with exclamation points? I think I am. I'm Elaine.
Anyways, so they got here late Friday night. We hung out until four in the morning. Sam came home from hanging out with his friends at about 2am and decided to make a midnight snack. That included me, Sam, my dad and three hungry little boys. So funny!!
We hung out again on Saturday, trying to go bowling but being shunned by all the bowling alleys. Apparently they were full of leagues and had no lanes open. So what did we do? We went and hung out at the Junction Pub with Richie! We all had dinner, and after the children were carted home, Joey, Mindi, Pa Chia, my dad and I all stayed back and had some drinks. That is the first time that I've ever been drunk with my brother. That was hell a fun! We were giggling and laughing, and Mindi yelled at me for being touchy on some guy. Little did she know was that that guy was Eric, Ryan Heise's little brother, and I'm always touchy feely on him because he's gone to Iraq a few times and I really like him. Plus, he grew this crazy beard and I wanted to feel it.
Ok, ok, that's enough. We just had some fun. My crazy drunk dad kept telling me at the end of the night: "Un dia! Un dia!" Which means, "One Day..." So after I asked him "Un dia que?" over and over again, meaning, "One day what?" He accused me of not being able to speak Spanish. Little did he know, he just wasn't finishing his train of thought. I have no clue what is going to happen "one day," according to him..........dork.
So below are some lovely pics. I've tried to spice them up because it's fun. Please enjoy. I'll be heading back up to Minnesota during the weekend of Easter. Gabriel is turning eight and we are going to have a little party for him at a water park. Gabriel, you're so old...
