I've been so busy these past two weeks!!! Too busy to update our blog. First, last Friday, we discovered a small leak behind our brand new fridge. Turns out that the valve in the wall was a crappy valve, and it was rusty and began to leak. We only caught it because I saw some very light dripping in the basement where I was cleaning out Lucy's litterbox. Turns out, water had soaked into oak floor under the fridge, the wall behind the fridge, through to the wall on the other side of the fridge, and down in the whole drywall part in the basement and into the carpet in the basement. But alas! Sam and I are lucky!!! We caught it in time AND we have insurance with only a $250 deductible. How nice! I'm the optimist of our little 2.1 household. I see the good things. At least it wasn't worse, and at least we have great insurance.
So we've been busy with that, having guys come and five days of loud noisy fans sitting in our kitchen. So much fun. I've also decided to start my own little side business. I know, you're thinking: "what kind of business, Amy? You're to crazy to start your own little venture!" But alas again, I am very crafty and creative, I love to read, write, scrapbook, draw and paint. And I've decided to create my own little decorative plaques with fun sayings such as "wipe your paws!" and "Gone Fishin'" and whatnot. I'll be putting them up soon on eBay, where they only charge me 50 cents commission for posting on their site. It's so fun doing it too! I can't wait to make all kinds of eBay money...wish me luck!
So again I'm lacking in pictures. I've got new pics of Lucy and I need to take some pics of my art. Today is Friday and I'm heading up to Minnesota tonight for Gabriel's birthday party tomorrow. We're going to an indoor waterpark and we're going to drown him. He's been alive 8 years now, and that's 8 years too long. Ha!
Sammy has been busy as well, getting our yard ready for landscaping. Our little house has virtually NO landscaping, and since that is Sam's business, he has been working non-stop to plan our lovely yard. He even decided to put in a little waterfall! We'll see how that goes! I just can't wait for it to get warmer so that I may get out there and do some planting. Watch out for my butterfly garden, it's coming soon.
And Sammy will be staying home this weekend and will be heading up to his grandma and grandpa's for Easter. So much excitement....ha...that's sarcasm. Stay tuned for Easter pics!
